Annexure I Greetings message delivered by Dr Arun Agrawal, Executive Director, WASME at the SME Networking Reception organized on the occasion of 3rd World SME Expo held at the Hong Kong International Convention and Exhibition Centre on 30th November, 2006. We are delighted to be back here again. Thank you TDC for inviting us to the 3rd edition of the World SME Expo. We are pleased to be associated as a supporting international organisation as in previous years. In fact, the 38th Session of Governing Body of WASME was held in November 2004 on the sidelines of the World SME Expo which brought to Hong Kong top-level policy makers, planners and SME support institutions including Banks and SME Associations, from different parts of the globe. The World SME Expo has over the year developed as a premier global event for the World SME community providing, as TDC Chairman Peter Woo, put it in his luncheon speech yesterday, the right kind of connectivity. I am glad to see that with each successive year, the Expo is becoming move and more international and diversified with the inclusion of other events such as International Business Convention, Industry specific Seminars, Matchmaking forum and Innovation and Design Expo thus providing an unique platform for all participants and visitors to establish new contacts and share valuable information and knowledge which is one of WASMEs major missions I am also pleased that the International Trade Centre (ITC) is supporting the event . ITC has in place several programmes focussing on SMEs capacity building and trade promotion. Therefore, its participation in the Expo would be highly beneficial to the visitors to the Expo from different parts of the world. WASME has enjoyed an excellent relationship with ITC in the past and has been actively participating in its various events, besides organising joint training programmes. I trust that other agencies in the UN system, the World Intellectual Property Organisation and the World Trade Organisation, in particular, can be roped in to associate themselves with the Expo in future as they play an extremely important role in trade facilitation. I also hope to see increased participation from Africa and CIS next year. In conclusion, I wish to congratulate TDC for organising the World SME Expo successfully in a very efficient manner. On behalf of our membership worldwide, I also greet TDC on its 40th anniversary. While I look forward to seeing you in December next year for the 2007 World SME Expo, let me invite you to our 18th International Convention on SMEs, which will be hosted by the Federation of Sri Lanka Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Colombo during 1-3 November 2007. Thank you for your attention. #%nl 4 ql.e!]_`@BPQ%'{}$$$$W%>*H*>*6>*5H* 5>*H*5>*25mn'(xyF_hi} $ p5mn'(xyF_hi} ( a c v & / l m 3 4 " # v Kopremn'-.ef{d ( a c v & / l m 3 4 " # v Kopremn'-.ef{@ !@ !`bPQ# $ \#]#6%7%W%&`bPQ# $ \#]#6%7%W%$$ 1h/ =!"#$% [<@< StandardCJ_HaJmH sH tH BA@B Absatz-Standardschriftart2B@2 Textkrper$a$5W!6W% W%W%quv}muv|nu"%9C| t z { . 0 uz!##eijqY!:=$T_y}vx K T p r s w e l n r V a fj,4@HW_jv.G~rzY!33333333333333333333333333333333333333 RajiRajiarunRajiNorb W Knoll-DornhoffC:\Documents and Settings\Dr. Knoll-Dornhoff\Asztal\WASME\website-update\Report on participation in the World SME Expo HK[1].doc@ l/DD W!`@GzTimes New Roman5Symbol3& zArial"qh²²R[&}:^<$20!X!MrRajiNorb W Knoll-DornhoffOh+'0t 0 < HT\dlMrrRajifajiajiNormalNorb W Knoll-Dornhoff82rbMicrosoft Word 8.0f@ e@G@X@G@X}՜.+,D՜.+,< hp Park Computers:!j Mr Titel 6> _PID_GUIDAN{9F4D80C3-1E81-4FBE-94CC-B3CDA8308DFA} !"#%&'()*+-./01236Root Entry Fz}VX`VX81TableWordDocument"6SummaryInformation($DocumentSummaryInformation8,CompObjjObjectPool`VX`VX FMicrosoft Word-Dokument MSWordDocWord.Document.89q
